Engineering is in our DNA. Compass is a family owned business established in 1985, located in Northland New Zealand. Trading for over 35 years, now distributes its quality range of transport equipment throughtout New Zealand and Australia.

In 1997, after repeated requests from a machinery dealership in Waipapa, to beguin manufacturing a range of light trailers for the rurual community.

2015

30 + years down the track, now with the young blood in the business, Compass has evolved again to facilitate the growth of its renown brand of trailers. Building off its reputation Compass Group launches into ute trays, and heavy transport engineering, watch this space!

2005

In typical Don style, the trailers were crafted with unbeatable quality and value, the company grew rapidly and Compass move to a bigger and better manufacturing facility, the younger generation enter the business.

2000

The quality of workmanship flowing from Don's workshop was unmistakable causing a renown NZ machinery retailer to hassle Don for a quality range of rugged farm trailers for New Zealanders, Compass Trailers was born!

1985

Don Campion handed in his notice at a local engineering firm after completing his trade, and ventured out into business on his own, after identifying a need for an honest, reliable and smart engineer in the area that really listened and valued the customer.
